The importance of keeping your own content on your own website

There are many websites that you can upload content and post on now, however there is one key drawback with posting your own content on someone else’s website…

Should things change and either the website start charging excessively for hosting, or removes your content due to a change in conditions then you could lose everything.

It is very important to keep your own content on your own website so that is always available (and remember to back up your website regularly too.)

With websites falling out of favour and/or changing ownership things can change quickly – keeping your content on your own site lets you avoid the issues.

Running your own website is also very affordable now, and lets you have a personal email address linked to the website address as well.

After building up 17 years experience in industry and practice, James started his own business from scratch in 2006.

He now helps others to do the same, while minimising both the risks and costs.

James is dual qualified in tax and accounts, and has won multiple awards for small business. In 2014 he was invited to Downing Street, as one of the Small Business Saturday 100 winners.
